MarKyle Travel – A Gateway Travel Partner (“MarKyle Travel,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit markyletravel.com or work with us to plan a trip, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out our contact form, message us through Facebook Messenger, email, call, or text us, we receive what you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, and details about the trip you’re interested in.
Information needed to book travel. If you book a trip with us, we collect what our travel suppliers require to make and manage your reservation. This can include the full legal names, dates of birth, and contact details of everyone traveling, passport or citizenship details, loyalty program numbers, special requests (such as dietary, accessibility, or celebration needs), and payment information. We never ask you to send payment card details by email, text, or an online form. Card information is collected only through a secure payment link sent from our booking system through Gateway Travel, or entered directly with the travel supplier.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours automatically receives basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and how you arrived at our site. We use Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) to understand how visitors use the site, and Google reCAPTCHA on our contact form to block spam. These services use cookies or similar technologies.
How we use your information
- To respond to your questions and send you trip ideas, quotes, and proposals you ask for
- To book, confirm, and manage your travel arrangements, including payment reminders and travel updates
- To watch for price drops or better offers on trips you’ve booked
- To send occasional travel offers or news in the future, only if you’ve agreed to receive them (you can opt out anytime)
- To improve our website and protect it from spam and abuse
- To meet legal, accounting, and regulatory requirements
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to plan and book your travel or run our business:
- Travel suppliers such as cruise lines, resorts, hotels, tour and activity providers, and travel insurance companies, so they can provide the services you book. Once shared, your information is also governed by each supplier’s own privacy policy.
- Gateway Travel and its affiliates (including Gateway to Magic Travel), our host agency, which provides the booking systems and records we use to manage reservations and can access bookings made through the agency.
- Service providers that help us operate, such as our website host, email and calendar tools, accounting software, Google (Analytics and reCAPTCHA), and Meta (Facebook Messenger, if you contact us there).
- Legal reasons, when required by law, or to protect our rights, our clients, or others.
Third-party links
Our site links to other websites, including our travel partners, Travel Insured International, Facebook, and Instagram. We aren’t responsible for those sites’ privacy practices, so please review their policies when you visit them.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features may not. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. To stop receiving marketing messages from us, use the unsubscribe link in any email or just tell us.
How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as needed to plan and support your travel, and afterward as required for accounting, tax, legal, insurance, host-agency, and supplier record-keeping purposes. We keep website analytics data for the period set in our Google Analytics account.
How we protect information
Our website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, and we limit access to client information to what’s needed to serve you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please never send payment card numbers by email, text, or any online form, including our contact form. When payment is needed, we’ll send you a secure payment link.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, subject to what we must keep for active bookings or legal reasons. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy laws. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Children
Our website isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information online. When we book travel for families, we collect children’s details from a parent or guardian only as needed for the booking.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the effective date at the top of this page.
